Semi-detached dwellings
Well to do families often invest in constructing semi-detached establishments. These are structures where similar units are built and separated to give identity. Generally, post legacy, brothers live with their family in each of these tenements. It is the general idea of UK and Ireland.
Since every construction is present in each detachment, you will have chimneys peeking out from opposite ends, you will have separate balconies. Sometimes, basements are common and may be partitioned in case there is animosity between house sharers. One drawback with this creation is that due to difference of condition among unit holders, one unit may look well-served and colored, while the other may look barren.
Obviously, the main entrance will be common. These dwellings actually look amusing to purists. These look great with gable roofs, triangular paneled trellises and porch space. It was devised to assure that brothers won’t have any pique towards their fathers’ will.
